Curiousity will kill this cat if we don't get to her first

Our cat has had a little trouble adjusting to Parker.  We had Tera 9 months before Parker arrived.  She got used to me hanging with her while I had morning sickness.  She had all my attention every day.  Now, she's lucky if we notice her laying at the top of the stairs before we step on her.  Poor Kitty.  She is paying us back.  Tera likes to meow very loudly in the mornings, almost always waking Parker.  Tera can distinguish the bowls we use to heat up Parker's bottles.  She knows there is water in them and jumps on the counter to drink from them.  (She also likes drinking out of the toilet.  Guess the filtered water in the nifty kitty dish isn't good enough for her.) Tera loves sleeping in Parker's room.  She is not allowed, and since we kick her out, Tera has found we don't see her if she runs under the bed or crib.  She is driving us nuts!

Recently I found Tera in a few predicaments.
First - Tera was trying to eat my turkey tetrazzini.
No, Kitty! This is MY Turkey Tetrazzini!
Second, she snuck behind the closed blinds.
Can you see me?

Third, I found her sleeping with her face in the blanket. (WHY??!!!)
This is just to confuse my owners.
Fourth - I learned I am not large enough to stop Tera from sneaking in the cabinet while I am standing there making Parker a bottle.  (we keep the formula in there)  Didn't even feel her walk/jump by me.  Doesn't mean I didn't close the door on her when I realized she was in there.... (meow? meow?)

She is stealthy
Fifth - The Cat was watching Ellen for a full 30 minutes.  I'm not kidding you.  The Cat was watching Ellen.  She didn't move from this position even when I called her name.
I need to learn to dance....
No judging me on the Ellen thing.  I wanted to see someone she was interviewing (don't even remember now who it was).

This will embarrass him in about 20 years

This is for the Grandmas.

Yes, he's pooping.  No, he's not constipated.

Stop Showing Me Photos of Your Baby!

Funny story....Brandon was at a work meeting.  They had technical difficulties and had to wait 15 minutes to proceed.  Brandon turned to his buddy and said, "I know it is completely annoying, so you can say no, but you want to see baby pictures?"  Ha!  Brandon has turned into one of those.....  Watch out!

Speaking of annoying, here are some photos of Parker.  :)

Hi Chair!

About 3 weeks ago Parker made a new discovery. Parker L-O-V-E-S his bouncer chair.  Mama loves the chair too!  It means she can shower and eat without putting Parker down for a nap.  It has also allowed Tera to explore the new small person living in the house.  We have to keep an eye on Tera to make sure she doesn't get too adventurous.  As you can see from the photo below, they are becoming buddies.

10 Weeks

The weeks have flown by.  I'm sure the holidays had some part in that.  Parker turned 10 weeks yesterday.  He has grown so much in the last week.  He now smiles, coos, holds his head up, and imitates faces.  We are starting to realize how much fun we are going to have when he learns to do more.

Parker has Brandon's hairline, eye shape and we think nose.  Parker has my mouth, chin shape, and closes his right eye more than his left just like me.

Baby's First Christmas

Having a baby right before the holidays is not something I recommend.  Don't do it.  New baby plus holidays equals total chaos.  I don't think I remember listening to Christmas music this year - one of my favorite things about the holidays.  The days leading up to Thanksgiving and Christmas are a blur.  I'm thinking since people leave their Christmas lights up on the house all year, why can't I leave Christmas lights up if they are on a tree, in the house?  Is there really a difference?

Parker's first Christmas was spent at Grandma and Grandpa Hines'.  It was also Parker's first road trip.  Santa was very kind to Parker.  I guess he was a good boy this year.  I think it had something to do with the fact he only had 2 months to be good instead of the entire year like the rest of us.  That comments may have just put me on the naughty list for 2013....
Brandon posed Parker, not realizing he grew ears.

Grandma and Grandpa Hignite came to Newport the week after Christmas for Parker's blessing.  They came bearing gifts.  We had a blast with them.  Parker was blessed to have Grandma watch him at night, giving Mama and Papa a break (which was great since the three of us came home from Christmas with colds).  Hopefully Grandpa will share his photos :)
